Job Overview Join our dynamic paving crew as a Milling Operator and Paving Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in transforming construction sites into smooth, durable surfaces. This energetic position involves operating heavy machinery, managing paving operations, and supporting various aspects of roadway and commercial surface projects. Duties Operate milling machines to remove old pavement efficiently, ensuring precise depth and width control for optimal surface preparation. Handle paving equipment to lay asphalt with accuracy and consistency, maintaining quality standards throughout each project. Operate loaders, excavators, dump trucks, and other heavy machinery safely to transport materials and prepare job sites for paving activities. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic mechanical maintenance to keep machinery running smoothly. Follow all safety protocols on-site, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe work environment for everyone involved. Experience Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment such as milling machines, excavators, loaders, or dump trucks is highly desirable. Knowledge of construction site procedures, safety standards, and project workflows is essential for success in this role. Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic repairs will be beneficial. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or commercial vehicle certification is preferred for operating large trucks on-site. Construction site experience in paving or roadwork projects demonstrates your readiness to hit the ground running. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
