Asphalt Paving Superintendent / Forman Highland Enterprises, Inc. - 4.0 Las Cruces, NM Job Details Full-time $24 - $40 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Qualifications Spanish Outdoor work experience Coating English CDL Full Job Description About the Role Highland Enterprises, Inc. is looking for an experienced and motivated Asphalt Paving Foreman or Superintendent to lead our asphalt maintenance crew in the field. This is a leadership role for someone who knows the work inside and out, can keep a crew on task, and takes pride in delivering quality results on every job. You'll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations across a range of asphalt and pavement services. What You'll Be Doing Lead and manage a general asphalt maintenance crew on active job sites Oversee and perform asphalt paving operations to spec and on schedule Direct seal coat and striping crews to ensure quality and consistency Operate and supervise the use of asphalt distributors safely and efficiently Perform and manage chip seal operations (strong plus) Coordinate daily work assignments, equipment, and materials Communicate with project managers and ownership on job progress, scheduling, and any field issues Enforce safety standards and ensure all crew members follow proper procedures Inspect finished work to verify it meets quality expectations Assist with training and mentoring crew members as needed What We're Looking For 3+ years of hands-on experience in asphalt paving, maintenance, or a related field Prior foreman or superintendent experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of seal coating, pavement striping, and asphalt distributor operations Chip seal experience is a strong bonus Ability to read job plans and interpret project specifications Strong leadership skills — able to motivate a crew and keep work moving Solid understanding of jobsite safety practices and regulations Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required Benefits Competitive pay based on experience 401(k) with company matching
