As an Asphalt Laborer, you'll work alongside experienced crews performing commercial paving projects throughout Long Island and the surrounding area. No two days are exactly the same. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to projects that require teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. What You'll Do Assist paving crews with asphalt paving, patching, milling, and site preparation. Perform shoveling, raking, sweeping, and other manual labor necessary to complete paving operations. Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment. Assist with traffic control, jobsite setup, and cleanup. Follow directions from crew leaders while working safely and efficiently as part of a team. Maintain a clean and organized jobsite throughout each project. Perform routine care and cleaning of tools and equipment. Follow all company safety procedures and help maintain a safe work environment. Represent Royal Pavement Solutions professionally while interacting with customers, property managers, and the public. Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful completion of each project. Required Qualifications Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions. Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds or more. Reliable transportation to and from our shop and jobsites. Ability to work overtime, early mornings, nights, and occasional weekends as project schedules require. Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn. Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and moving vehicles. Preferred Qualifications Previous asphalt, paving, construction, concrete, or site work experience. Experience using hand tools commonly found on paving jobsites. OSHA 10 certification preferred.
