ASPHALT PAVING FOREMAN
to lead our paving crew in Cincinnati. We work on commercial and residential properties to install, maintain, and expand parking surfaces. This key leadership position is integral to our growth going forward. GCB has been locally owned and operated since its founding in 2010.
Primary Responsibilities Crew Leadership:
Direct and supervise a paving crew (Operators, Laborers, and Truck Drivers), assigning daily tasks, ensuring labor efficiency and productivity.
Safety Management:
Enforce strict adherence to all company, federal (OSHA), and local safety regulations. Conduct daily safety meetings and job hazard analysis.
Production & Quality Control:
Oversee the entire paving process from start to finish, including site setup, asphalt laydown, compaction, and final finish. Ensure the mat density, grade, and thickness meet project specifications.
Scheduling & Logistics:
Coordinate the timely delivery of asphalt, materials, and equipment with the dispatcher and Project Manager. Manage traffic control setup (flagging and cones).
Equipment Management:
Report equipment maintenance needs and ensure all tools and machinery are used correctly and safely.
Communication:
Maintain clear and timely communication with Project Managers regarding progress, delays, issues, and resource needs.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in asphalt paving, heavy equipment construction, landscaping, or other similar fields Comprehensive knowledge of asphalt paving, compaction, grading, trucking, and project management Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and calculate material quantities. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license (CDL Class A is a strong advantage). OSHA 10-hour certification (OSHA 30-hour preferred). wwwwgcincyb.com
