Paving Foreman

Job Summary Are you a hands-on leader with experience in asphalt paving? As a Paving Foreman, you'll guide crews in delivering high-quality paving projects while keeping safety and productivity top of mind. In this role, you'll lead daily operations in the field, ensuring work is completed efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest standards. Main Responsibilities Lead and supervise paving crews, including operators, laborers, and truck drivers Plan daily work activities to meet production and project timelines Assign tasks, set expectations, and monitor crew performance Coordinate equipment and materials needed for paving operations Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on the job site Identify and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately Communicate daily progress, production quantities, and any issues to the Superintendent Coordinate with truck drivers, plant teams, and support staff Work professionally with inspectors, engineers, and other trades Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs Ensure proper use and care of tools and paving equipment Monitor material usage to support efficiency and minimize waste Skills Strong leadership and crew management abilities Clear communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment Attention to detail and commitment to quality work Organized, dependable, and safety-focused Physical / Work Requirements Work outdoors in various weather conditions Active role involving standing, walking, and physical labor Travel required throughout the Mid‑West Central Region Valid driver's license required

Qualifications Required:

3-5+ years of experience in asphalt paving operations Strong knowledge of paving methods, equipment, and materials Ability to read and understand basic plans and specifications Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Preferred:

Pay:

$72,000.00 - $108,000.00 per hour
