Job Description

Asphalt Paver Operator Harrisburg, PA 17111 Full-time Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Paver Operator to join our dedicated paving team. You will operate heavy paving machinery to lay, spread, and level asphalt on roads, parking lots, and driveways. Your precision will ensure smooth, durable pavements that meet strict grade, slope, and thickness specifications.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation:
Safely operate and control asphalt paving machines to lay hot-mix asphalt smoothly and accurately.
Screed Control:
Monitor and adjust screed settings to maintain proper depth, width, slope, and grade.
Crew Coordination:
Work closely with the foreman, dump truck drivers, and roller operators to manage material flow and ensure continuous, even paving.
Equipment Maintenance:
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, basic servicing, and minor repairs.
Site Preparation:
Assist the crew with setting up the job site, clearing obstacles, and manually finishing asphalt with hand tools .
Qualifications Experience:
2-5 years of proven experience operating asphalt paving machines
Leboy, Bomag and Carlson Physical Capability:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs., work in varying outdoor weather conditions, and perform manual labor.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus) and a clean driving record Working Conditions Work is almost exclusively outdoors, often requiring overtime and exposure to high temperatures, heavy traffic zones, and loud machinery
