As an Operator/Laborer , you'll be hands-on in the production of asphalt, working with power tools, heavy equipment, and a crew that takes real pride in what rolls out of these plants. What you'll actually be doing: Handling construction aggregates and materials like sand and gravel Working with hands and power tools
• gas, electric, and compressed air Operating mobile equipment: sweeper, forklift, bobcat, yard truck, water truck, and more Helping with preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment and vehicles
• including welding Keeping plant areas clean and organized Pitching in wherever the team needs an extra hand What you bring: High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of plant production experience with construction aggregates (sand, gravel, or similar) Welding ability required Solid communication skills
• able to read signs/signals and follow instructions, spoken and written Willingness to join the union local and pass a pre-employment drug test Ready to build something real?

Physical requirements include:

Must have correctable vision with reasonably good night vision. Must be able to lift and carry 50 to 100 lbs. occasionally and /or 25 to 50 lbs. frequently and/or 10 to 20 lbs. constantly to move objects. Requires manual dexterity and ability to bend, twist, turn, stretch, squat, kneel, sit and stand for extended periods.
