Asphalt Paver Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Asphalt Paver Operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy paving equipment to lay asphalt for roads, parking lots, and other infrastructure projects. Your expertise will ensure smooth, durable surfaces while maintaining safety and quality standards on busy construction sites. Duties Operate asphalt pavers and related heavy machinery with precision to ensure even and high-quality pavement surfaces Coordinate with the construction crew to prepare the site, including grading and setting up paving parameters Monitor equipment performance, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly Assist with loading materials using loaders or dump trucks, ensuring timely delivery of asphalt mix and other supplies Support concrete-related tasks such as concrete mixing, pumping, finishing, and forming when needed on hybrid projects Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe work environment for all team members Inspect completed paving sections for quality, smoothness, and adherence to project specifications Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as asphalt pavers, loaders, excavators, and dump trucks Hands-on experience with concrete mixers, pumping systems, finishing tools, and rebar installation is highly desirable Strong knowledge of construction site safety procedures and best practices in paving operations Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly and effectively Familiarity with commercial vehicle operation and licensing requirements for trucks used on construction sites Prior work on large-scale paving or concrete projects demonstrating attention to detail and quality workmanship Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high productivity standards

Pay:

$25.49 - $32.00 per hour
