Industrial Boiler Service and Maintenance Pay:
$35 - $65 per hour, commensurate with experience + OT An established commercial and industrial boiler service company serving the NYC, Westchester, and Long Island area is hiring a Boiler Service Technician to perform hands-on repair and maintenance on commercial and industrial boiler systems. You'll work alongside an experienced, factory-trained technician who will train you across all areas of boiler repair and maintenance, from routine service calls to full system troubleshooting. This is a field-based role for a hands-on mechanic who wants to build a long-term trade with a company that trains, tools, and equips you to do it right. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repair on commercial and industrial boiler equipment, including low-pressure, high-pressure, power, and steam boilers, and hot water heating systems Replace defective valves, filters, and steam gauges Monitor boiler systems to confirm safe and proper operation Perform periodic cleaning and address system issues as they arise, notifying supervisors as needed Work alongside an experienced, factory-trained technician who will provide hands-on instruction across all areas of repair and maintenance Maintain a professional, customer-first demeanor on every service call Flag potentially dangerous equipment or safety violations to your supervisor immediately Follow all OSHA safety procedures and protocols Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in boiler maintenance, combustion, and basic (non-PLC) boiler control circuits Technical/vocational school training and hands-on experience with HVAC or industrial boiler systems Extensive knowledge of industrial boiler operations and maintenance Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mechanical troubleshooting skills OSHA 30, F-60, and G-60 certifications required Valid NYS driver's license Ability to work in confined spaces and lift up to 75 pounds Willingness to participate in weekend/holiday standby rotation Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check (at company expense ) Preferred Welding experience Factory-trained or OEM-specific boiler training Experience tuning combustion and troubleshooting flame safety/interlock systems Compensation and Benefits $35 - $65 per hour, commensurate with experience Company service vehicle, EZ-Pass, and fuel card provided Cell phone provided as needed Company-branded uniforms provided 15 days of PTO per year (sick and vacation combined) to start Choice of company-subsidized health care plans 401(k) and ESOP eligibility after one year of employment Company provides all specialty tools (welders, chain hoists, hammer drills, etc.) and replaces any broken personal tools at no cost All required PPE supplied This is a confidential search conducted on behalf of the hiring company.
