Job Title:
Boiler Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Boiler Technician to join our team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial boiler systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of heating and hot water systems across various facilities. Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial boilers, burners, pumps, valves, and related equipment. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using testing instruments and diagnostic tools. Adjust system components, combustion settings, and controls to maintain efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot urgent system failures. Document all work performed, including parts used, test results, and recommendations for future service. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, including safety and environmental regulations. Communicate clearly with customers regarding system conditions, repair options, and maintenance recommendations. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in clean and safe working condition. Essential Skills Minimum 2-5 years of experience working with commercial or industrial boiler systems. Strong understanding of hydronic systems, steam systems, combustion theory, and boiler controls. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Proficiency with diagnostic tools, combustion analyzers, and multimeters. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred. Preferred state-specific Operator License. HVAC/R certification. ASME training. EPA Section 608 Certification. OSHA 10 or 30 training. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hatfield, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
