Job Description

About the Role As a Pressure Systems Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of high-pressure equipment. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical repair and system diagnostics to maintain critical infrastructure, ensuring that all components operate safely and meet rigorous performance standards. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections and testing of boiler systems to identify leaks, defects, or structural vulnerabilities. Execute precise repairs and replacements of valves, gauges, and auxiliary mechanisms using specialized hand and power tools. Maintain optimal system performance by cleaning pressure vessels and furnace interiors using industrial solvents and mechanical tools. Interpret complex blueprints and technical specifications to accurately position and install critical components like tubes and feedwater connections. Install refractory brick in fireboxes to ensure thermal efficiency and structural longevity. Maintain a zero-incident environment by strictly adhering to safety protocols and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment. Navigate challenging work environments, including confined spaces and elevated structures, to complete essential maintenance tasks. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of boilers, heat exchangers, and industrial valve systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications. Demonstrated ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing and working in confined spaces. Ability to pass necessary background checks and obtain required site access credentials. Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to rigorous industrial standards. Preferred Skills Extensive experience in industrial refractory bricklaying for power plants or steel mills. Advanced proficiency with gas torch operations for metal cutting and heating. Prior experience working in maritime or offshore industrial environments.
