If you are a Residential Masonry & Concrete Expert...Read On!
Position OverviewThe Project Consultant is a client-facing technical authority responsible for evaluating, scoping, and pricing residential masonry and concrete projects throughout Los Angeles County. This is not a traditional sales or business development role. All client appointments are pre-scheduled by the office, and success is driven by deep trade expertise, accurate scope definition, and the ability to identify constructability risks before a project begins.
The Project Consultant acts as the company's on-site expert-meeting directly with clients, diagnosing technical conditions, defining practical solutions, and ensuring each project is priced accurately and can be executed to standard. Individuals with backgrounds as Superintendents, Project Managers, senior field leaders, or former business owners consistently perform best in this role.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct scheduled on-site client visits across Los Angeles County to evaluate scope, site conditions, access, sequencing, and constructability considerations.
Apply deep masonry and concrete knowledge to diagnose issues and design practical, buildable solutions tailored to each property.
Identify risks related to soil conditions, grading, drainage, structural integrity, access, or existing site constraints before pricing is established.
Accurately calculate project pricing using established company formulas grounded in real-world production rates and field experience.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients-credibility, clarity, and confidence drive success, not sales tactics.
Record detailed job notes and short diagnostic videos after site visits and communicate scope clearly to the internal office team.
Complete focused personal follow-ups for high-value or complex projects, including return site visits, virtual consultations, or clarification calls.
Collaborate with project management and operations teams to ensure a clean handoff from preconstruction to execution.
Support the internal team by answering technical questions, reviewing complex scope items, and providing expert clarification when needed.
