In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures made of concrete, brick, stone, and other masonry materials. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life through precise craftsmanship and attention to detail. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new builds to renovation and restoration efforts, ensuring safety, quality, and durability in every structure you help create. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute masonry projects. Mix and pour concrete, ensuring proper consistency and placement for various applications. Install rebar reinforcement to strengthen structures according to engineering specifications. Lay bricks, blocks, stones, and tiles with precision to achieve desired patterns and structural integrity. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for cutting, shaping, and finishing masonry materials. Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing surfaces, applying textures, or sealing joints. Conduct demolition or restoration work on existing structures using appropriate masonry techniques. Skills Extensive experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing techniques. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans. Strong knowledge of masonry materials including brick, stone, stucco, plastering compounds, and tile laying. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely on construction sites. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as trowels, chisels, hammers, as well as power tools like saws and drills. Familiarity with renovation projects involving framing carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, caulking, trim carpentry, and restoration processes. Knowledge of schematics for electrical or plumbing integration within masonry structures is a plus. Experience with welding or metal work related to structural reinforcement is advantageous.
