Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Bring your expertise to a dynamic surgical environment where your skills as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) and Non-certified Surgical Tech are valued. This contract opportunity allows you to play a vital role in supporting surgical teams to deliver the highest standard of patient care.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience as a Surgical Tech, with strong knowledge of operating room procedures Ability to assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during surgical procedures Familiarity with safety and sterilization protocols Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Adaptability in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient safety Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred Previous experience in a similar role highly desired
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgeries, ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are set up Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgical procedures Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during operations Maintain sterile techniques and monitor the operating room for any breach of aseptic practices Handle specimens as directed and ensure accurate documentation Clean and restock the operating room following procedures Work cooperatively with the entire surgical team to ensure efficient flow and patient safety This contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced medical professionals while contributing to essential surgical care.
