We are looking for an experienced mason with a specialty in construction of highly detailed, architecturally complex chimneys and fireplaces
Qualifications:
Crew leaders require 3 year minimum of crew supervisory experience Must have knowledge and experience in building and reconstructing fireplaces from start to finish including, but not limited to: superstructures, hearths, fire boxes, flu's, chimney caps and natural stone veneers Knowledge of flat and vertical masonry, including layout is preferred Competent in erecting and dismantling scaffolding Experience planning and ordering necessary materials for jobs Leader must understand state codes regarding fireplaces and structures Strong understanding of residential construction framing, flashing, and waterproofing Must have ability to read plans, perform take offs for materials and layout Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders including General Contractor, Site Supervisors, Project Managers and Crew Ability to lead and mentor crew members Ability to stay productive while coordinating with site superintendents and multiple trades Ability and licensing to drive non-CDL trucks and trailers Reliability a must Experience with maintaining a safe work environment including jobsite cleanliness, PPE, and safety related practices related to masonry workRequirements:
