Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Brick Mason, where your craftsmanship will bring durable, aesthetically pleasing structures to life. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring brick, stone, and other masonry elements across a variety of projects. Your expertise in interpreting blueprints, working with concrete and mortar, and utilizing hand and power tools will be essential to delivering high-quality results. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate masonry work aligned with project specifications Lay bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials using mortar work techniques to create walls, facades, fireplaces, and decorative features Install rebar reinforcement and build concrete forms for structural elements such as foundations or columns Perform concrete finishing tasks including smoothing surfaces, applying textures, and ensuring proper curing for durability Construct masonry scaffolding safely to access various heights and areas on the construction site Execute restoration and renovation projects by matching existing materials and techniques to preserve architectural integrity Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely while adhering to all safety protocols to enhance efficiency and minimize risk Qualifications Proven experience in masonry construction with a strong background in bricklaying, stone masonry, concrete masonry, and stucco application Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprint specifications for precise execution of projects Hands-on experience with construction estimating, building material installation, framing carpentry including metal stud framing and trim carpentry Knowledge of construction site safety protocols; ability to follow all safety guidelines diligently Familiarity with heavy equipment operation relevant to masonry work such as mixers or lifts Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment on diverse construction projects including new builds or restoration efforts Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills for interpreting complex plans and adjusting work accordingly Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly contribute to creating enduring structures.
