In this vital role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using a variety of materials including brick, stone, concrete, and other building materials. Duties Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute masonry projects according to specifications Build and install concrete forms, rebar frameworks, and scaffolding to prepare for pouring and finishing concrete structures Lay bricks, stones, tiles, and blocks with precision using hand tools and power tools to ensure level surfaces and proper alignment Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, troweling, and sealing to achieve high-quality surfaces Install building materials including stucco, plastering compounds, trim carpentry elements, and metal stud framing for renovation or new construction projects Operate heavy equipment safely for lifting and positioning large materials or structures on-site Follow all safety protocols diligently while working at heights or on scaffolds; maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents Qualifications Proven experience in masonry work including bricklaying, stone masonry, concrete masonry, and related construction activities Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately Skilled in the use of hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels as well as power tools required for masonry tasks Knowledge of construction estimating processes and material installation techniques Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, mortar work, caulking, roofing prep, and stucco application preferred Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites; commitment to maintaining a safe working environment Construction site experience with renovation projects or restoration work is highly desirable Ability to interpret blueprint specifications effectively; familiarity with schematics related to heavy equipment operation is a plus Join us in shaping lasting structures with your masonry expertise!
