In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials. Your expertise will help shape the foundation of buildings, walls, facades, and hardscape features that stand the test of time. Responsibilities Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other masonry materials with precision using hand tools and power tools. Mix mortar and concrete accurately to ensure proper adhesion and durability of structures. Install rebar reinforcement within concrete forms to provide structural support for walls and foundations. Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing surfaces, sealing joints, and applying stucco or plaster where needed. Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks like concrete forming or site preparation while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience in construction with a focus on masonry; familiarity with construction estimating is a plus. Skilled in using hand tools (trowels, hammers) and power tools (drills, saws) effectively and safely. Knowledge of concrete forming techniques and rebar installation methods. Experience with hardscape design including paving stones or retaining walls is desirable. Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites; ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary. Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and working at heights if required.
