Masonry Laborer & Skilled Mason•Duties & Requirements Masonry Laborer Responsibilities $18.00 hourly Rate Material Preparation Mix mortar, grout, and plaster to proper consistency using gasoline-powered or electric mixers. Site Setup Assemble scaffolding, ladders, and work platforms in compliance with OSHA safety standards. Logistics & Material Handling Transport bricks, concrete blocks, mortar, and tools to the work area using wheelbarrows or manual lifting. We Provide Transportation to Job site. Diver License incase you needed to drive Tool & Site Maintenance Clean tools, equipment, and the job site at the end of each shift to maintain a safe working environment. Demolition Support Assist in removing existing masonry using hammers, chisels, or jackhammers. Skilled Mason Responsibilities Material Installation Lay brick, stone, or concrete block in uniform courses using mortar. Precision & Alignment Use levels, plumb bobs, and squares to ensure structures are straight, plumb, and true. Cutting & Shaping Measure and cut brick or stone using power saws, hammers, or chisels to achieve accurate dimensions. Finishing Work Tool and finish mortar joints for a clean, professional appearance.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
1-2 years in construction or masonry preferred (entry-level laborers welcome).
Physical Strength:
Ability to lift and carry 50-80 lbs repeatedly.
Stamina:
Comfortable standing, kneeling, and bending for extended periods in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, light rain).
Tool Knowledge:
Basic familiarity with hand tools (trowels, levels, tape measures) and power tools.
Reliability:
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and consistent attendance required.
Safety Awareness:
Understanding of basic construction safety protocols.
Work Environment Location:
Primarily outdoor construction sites.
Travel:
May be required between multiple job sites.
Hours:
