Duties Adapt to Historic Masonry Restoration techniques and standards.0 Possible working supervisory/foreman duties after reasonable assessment period. Assist team members in various tasks related to historic projects. Learn and apply techniques in repointing, brick rebuilding and repair, stucco application, etc. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks. Read and interpret drawings to understand project specifications and requirements. Proficiency with lime mortars, brick, all types of stone, and stucco. Participate in hardscape installations, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency on job sites. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment. Qualifications Must be open to learning traditional masonry techniques and rigid historic masonry specifications. Basic knowledge or experience with hand tools, power tools, masonry, repointing, stucco, hardscape, or is preferred but not required. Ability to follow instructions accurately while working as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods. Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning new skills. We have several projects that require a variety of skillsets so we are open to train those that have less experience.
