Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Helper to assist skilled carpenters and construction professionals in a dynamic residential construction environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills across a variety of building projects, from framing and drywall installation to finishing touches like trim and fixture installation. As a Helper, you will play a vital part in ensuring projects progress smoothly, safely, and efficiently while gaining valuable experience in the construction industry. This paid position is perfect for individuals eager to learn, grow their craft, and contribute to high-quality residential builds. Duties Assist carpenters and construction teams with measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other building materials using hand tools and power tools for Prepare job sites by setting up scaffolding, organizing materials, and ensuring safety protocols are followed during heavy lifting and material handling. Aid in the installation of doors, windows, siding, cabinets, fixtures, and trim carpentry components following blueprints and technical specifications. Help with framing using metal studs or wood framing techniques; assist in masonry, concrete forming, or rebar installation as needed. Participate in restoration projects including water damage remediation, stucco application, plastering, or mold remediation. Support the use of woodworking machines and power tools safely while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Experience Prior experience working on construction sites or in a handyman role is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings is a plus. Hands-on experience with carpentry disciplines such as residential carpentry, trim carpentry, framing, roofing, or cabinetry enhances your candidacy. Knowledge of construction safety practices related to power tool use and heavy lifting is essential. Experience with various building materials including wood construction materials, siding, drywall, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing, masonry or metal stud framing is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions from schematics or construction plans ensures project accuracy. A background in restoration industry projects such as water damage restoration or mold remediation will be considered an asset. Pay:
