Job Description

Lead Carpenter D and W Contractors is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our growing team. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing residential construction projects, managing in-house crews, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to our quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform and oversee all phases of residential carpentry, including framing, trim, siding, decking, and finish work. Lead and direct field crews while maintaining productivity and quality. Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers. Read and interpret plans, specifications, and layouts. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Identify and solve field issues while keeping projects moving forward. Complete punch-list items and final details to ensure customer satisfaction. Operate tools, equipment, and company vehicles safely.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience, with leadership or foreman experience preferred. Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and building practices. Ability to read blueprints and construction documents. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
