Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Finish Trim Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and finishing interior and exterior trim components, including baseboards, crown molding, door casings, window trim, and other decorative woodwork. Your expertise will ensure that all projects meet high-quality standards, enhance aesthetic appeal, and adhere to safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to residential new home construction , bringing craftsmanship and precision to every detail. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute trim installations. Measure, cut, shape, and install various wood and composite materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Install interior and exterior trim elements such as baseboards, crown molding, door jambs, window casings, wainscoting, and custom millwork. Prepare surfaces by sanding, caulking, filling gaps with putty or filler, and ensuring a smooth finish before installation. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate work sequences and ensure timely project completion. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials; adhere to power tool safety protocols at all times. Assist with related carpentry tasks such as drywall finishing, framing, or minor restoration work when needed. Skills Proficiency in reading construction plans and interpreting technical drawings accurately. Extensive experience with hand tools (hammers, chisels, saws) and power tools for woodworking (routers, drills, nail guns). Strong knowledge of residential carpentry techniques including trim carpentry, framing, drywall finishing, and cabinet installation. Familiarity with wood construction materials such as MDF, plywood, molding stock, and siding materials. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during installation processes. Knowledge of construction estimating principles for material quantities and project timelines. Understanding of power tool safety standards and proper handling of woodworking machines. Experience in restoration projects including water damage remediation, plastering, stucco application, or rebar installation is a plus. Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship!
