This position will primarily assist with demolition and carpentry work while also supporting our crews with other phases of remodeling projects. The ideal candidate has hands-on residential construction or remodeling experience, works well as part of a team, and takes pride in maintaining clean, organized, and professional job sites. Primary Responsibilities Assist with residential demolition, including the removal of cabinets, flooring, drywall, fixtures, trim, and other materials Assist carpenters with framing, blocking, cabinet installation, trim work, doors, hardware, and other finish carpentry Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials under the direction of a lead carpenter or project supervisor Protect existing floors, walls, furnishings, and other areas before beginning work Load, unload, organize, and transport tools and construction materials Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites throughout the workday Perform job-site setup, cleanup, and debris removal Assist qualified crew members with minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC-related work, as permitted and under appropriate supervision Assist with drywall installation and repairs, painting, caulking, flooring, and other finish work Follow project instructions, company procedures, and job-site safety requirements Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding job-site issues, damaged materials, or additional work that may be needed Perform other residential remodeling and construction duties as assigned Experience Requirements Previous experience in residential construction, remodeling, carpentry, or a related trade is required Experience with demolition and basic carpentry is strongly preferred Ability to safely and accurately use common hand and power tools Basic understanding of construction materials, measurements, and job-site safety Ability to read a tape measure and complete basic construction-related calculations Experience with drywall, painting, flooring, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, cabinetry, or finish work is a plus Must be willing to learn and assist with multiple trades as needed Tools and Equipment Candidates must provide and maintain their own basic hand tools appropriate for the position. Interiors by Thomas will provide major power tools, specialty equipment, and job-related consumable materials. Additional Requirements Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record Reliable transportation to work and assigned job sites during the probationary period Ability to arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance Ability to follow instructions and work independently when assigned Professional and respectful conduct in customers' homes Ability to work safely around occupied homes, children, pets, and customer belongings Ability to lift and carry construction materials and equipment Ability to regularly stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding work Willingness to work in indoor and outdoor conditions, including Arizona heat when necessary Ability to pass any required background check, motor vehicle record review, or employment screening Company Vehicle This position is eligible for a company vehicle and gas card after successful completion of the probationary period. These benefits may be provided sooner depending on the candidate's experience, driving record, job performance, and the company's needs. The company vehicle is for authorized business use and is subject to company vehicle and driving policies.
