& Partners is a growing carpentry, cabinetry, furniture, and construction design shop in Mesa, Arizona. We are looking for an Associate Carpenter to join our team in either a part-time or full-time capacity. This position is a great opportunity for someone who has some hands-on carpentry experience and is looking to develop their skills, learn from experienced tradespeople, and grow within a professional shop environment. About the Role Our current team includes two full-time lead carpenters and dedicated CNC production personnel. The Associate Carpenter will work alongside our experienced team and gradually take on more responsibility as their skills and knowledge develop. We're not looking for someone who knows everything already. We're looking for someone with a solid foundation, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine willingness to learn. Initial Responsibilities Depending on experience, responsibilities may include: Assisting lead carpenters with shop and field projects Sanding, dimensioning, and preparing lumber and sheet goods Material handling and organization Cutting, assembling, and preparing cabinetry and furniture components Assisting with cabinet and millwork fabrication General woodworking and carpentry tasks Shop cleanup and maintaining an organized workspace Loading and unloading materials Assisting with installations as skills develop Learning and working with shop equipment and tools Following drawings, measurements, and project specifications Developing skills in cabinetry, finish carpentry, CNC production, and furniture construction What We're Looking For You may be a good fit if you: Have some previous carpentry, woodworking, cabinetry, construction, or shop experience Are comfortable using basic hand and power tools Have a strong attention to detail and take pride in your work Are dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team Are comfortable learning new tools, equipment, and processes Can take direction while also developing the ability to work independently Have a positive attitude and a desire to grow in the trade Have an interest in cabinetry, furniture, finish carpentry, or CNC production Trade school students, recent graduates, and individuals early in their carpentry careers are encouraged to apply. Growth Opportunity This is intended to be more than just an entry-level shop position. As you develop your skills and demonstrate reliability and attention to detail, there will be opportunities to take on more advanced carpentry, cabinetry, installation, and production responsibilities. You'll have the opportunity to learn directly from experienced carpenters while gaining hands-on experience in a shop that combines traditional woodworking, cabinetry, furniture fabrication, CNC production, and custom construction.
