Job Description
O2 Employment Services is partnering with a local construction company in Burney, CA to find their next Carpentry Assistant. This part-time opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and is eager to learn and grow in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be dependable, and enjoy working outdoors as part of a team. Previous construction or carpentry experience is preferred, and higher pay may be available for candidates with advanced carpentry skills and experience. Carpentry Assistant - Compensation & Schedule Starting at $25.00 per hour Higher pay available based on experience and skill level Part-time opportunity Day shift (schedule to be discussed during the interview) Potential for additional hours based on workload Carpentry Assistant - Responsibilities Assist with residential and commercial carpentry projects Measure, cut, and prepare materials as directed Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and building materials Maintain a clean and safe job site Assist with framing, finish carpentry, remodeling, and general construction tasks Safely operate hand and power tools Follow directions from the lead carpenter while working collaboratively with the crew Perform other duties as assigned Carpentry Assistant - Qualifications Previous construction or carpentry experience preferred Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Burney area Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the day Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this position.
