Journeyman Carpenter Home Hardening Solutions Inc. Grass Valley / Nevada City, CA Home Hardening Solutions Inc. is a family-owned and operated construction company specializing in wildfire-resistant construction, home hardening, roofing, remodeling, and exterior improvements throughout the Sierra Foothills. We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a skilled carpenter who takes pride in quality workmanship, can work independently, lead a crew, and is comfortable performing a variety of residential construction and remodeling tasks. Responsibilities Perform residential carpentry, remodeling, and construction work Framing, siding, trim, doors, windows, and exterior construction Install and repair James Hardie fiber cement siding Install gutters, flashing, vents, and other exterior components Perform wildfire home-hardening improvements Install ember-resistant vents and other fire-resistant building products Read and interpret plans, drawings, and measurements Perform demolition and preparation work as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Work independently and as part of a construction crew Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and other trades Maintain high standards for quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail Qualifications Journeyman carpentry experience Strong knowledge of residential construction Ability to read plans and take accurate measurements Proficient with common carpentry tools Ability to work safely on ladders, roofs, and elevated work areas Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Professional attitude and good communication skills Must be dependable and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is a plus: Residential remodeling Framing Roofing Siding Window and door installation Deck construction Finish carpentry Wildfire mitigation or home hardening Hardscaping or exterior construction Land clearing Equipment operation Chainsaw operation
