Coordinate daily activities with the project superintendent and project manager. Develop daily crew assignments and maintain productive workflow. Confirm that the crew can safely place and finish the scheduled concrete quantity. Coordinate ready-mix truck access, placement sequence, finishing operations, curing, barricades, and reopening. Maintain safe pedestrian, driveway, resident, and emergency access around active work. Review utility markings and stop work when field conditions conflict with the approved plan. Coordinate City inspection hold points and promptly address deficiencies. Track daily quantities, manpower, equipment use, delays, and field conditions. Enforce OSHA, silica-control, traffic-control, environmental, and company safety requirements. Train and evaluate crew members and recommend retention or replacement when necessary. Maintain an organized, safe, and professional worksite. Required Qualifications Minimum five years of concrete construction experience.
Prior experience as a concrete foreman or working crew leader. Demonstrated experience with sidewalk, curb and gutter, driveway aprons, ADA transitions, and municipal flatworks. Strong knowledge of concrete demolition, base preparation, forming, dowels, placement, screeding, edging, jointing, broom finishing, curing, and protection. Ability to establish and verify line, grade, cross slope, drainage, and concrete thickness. Ability to read plans, standard details, specifications, and location maps. Experience coordinating ready-mix deliveries and controlling pour quantities. Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work outdoors and perform hands-on field duties. Preferred Experience California public works or prevailing-wage construction. Municipal sidewalk and street-repair contracts. Working with City inspectors and documented inspection hold points. Union crew supervision. Skid-steer, walk-behind saw, jackhammer, and compaction-equipment knowledge. Traffic, pedestrian, ADA-access, slurry, washout, and storm-drain protection controls. What We Offer Competitive compensation based on verified experience. Immediate work on an active municipal concrete contract. Opportunity to become a key field leader with a growing public-works contractor. Long-term advancement potential based on safety, quality, leadership, and production performance.
