Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Journeyman Carpenter to perform a wide range of residential and commercial construction tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety requirements, and carpentry techniques. This position requires the ability to work independently, lead small crews when necessary, and maintain high-quality workmanship. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders. Measure, cut, shape, and install wood, metal, and other building materials. Construct, repair, and modify structures including walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, cabinets, and trim. Perform demolition and reconstruction work as required. Install siding, drywall, framing, finish carpentry, and related building components. Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently. Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, inspectors, and project managers. Ensure work complies with applicable building codes and company quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe job site. Assist with material takeoffs and project planning. Train and mentor laborers and apprentice carpenters as needed. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience. Ability to perform both rough and finish carpentry. Knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices. Ability to read blueprints and construction plans. Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong understanding of OSHA safety requirements. Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions. Ability to pass background screening and drug testing if required. Preferred Qualifications General building construction experience across multiple trades. Experience with demolition, remodeling, framing, siding, drywall, and finish work. Equipment operation experience including forklifts, skid steers, or aerial lifts. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting. Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
