You will be instrumental in transforming conceptual designs into stunning physical environments that captivate audiences and elevate brand presence. With a focus on innovation, safety, and collaboration, this position offers a vibrant opportunity for skilled artisans and production professionals to showcase their talents in a fast-paced, energetic setting. Duties Collaborate with designers and project managers to interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings for trade show displays and scenic elements. Fabricate, assemble, and install scenic props, set pieces, lighting fixtures, and performance elements using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques. Execute scenic painting, staining, and finishing techniques aligned with color theory and artistic direction to enhance visual appeal. Follow blueprint specifications meticulously during construction, ensuring precision in woodwork, carpentry, set construction, and fabrication. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to manual handling, ladder use, scaffolding, and heavy equipment operation. Assist with interior design concepts for trade show booths or event spaces by integrating lighting design and visual arts painting principles. Support performance props creation and scenic painting projects that require detailed craftsmanship and artistic flair. Contribute to the overall production design by collaborating on layout planning, lighting setup, and set dressing to create immersive environments. Experience Proven experience in scenic construction, set fabrication or trade show display creation within the entertainment or events industry. Strong background in carpentry, woodworking, construction painting, and set construction techniques. Knowledge of safe work practices including manual handling, ladder use, heavy lifting, and the operation of power tools. Experience with scenic painting techniques including color theory application and finishing methods. Ability to read blueprints accurately while following detailed specifications for fabrication projects. Demonstrated capability in using hand tools and power tools safely within a fast-paced production environment. Background in visual arts painting or theatrical set design is highly desirable. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines such as lighting design, interior decoration, and production management.
