Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter specializing in Deck Building to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, and installing high-quality decks that enhance outdoor living spaces. Your expertise will contribute to creating durable, aesthetically pleasing structures that meet client specifications and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your carpentry skills to deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct decks according to design specifications. Measure, cut, assemble, and install deck components using hand tools and power tools with precision and efficiency. Prepare construction sites by framing, installing supports, and ensuring proper foundation setup using concrete forming techniques. Install fixtures such as railings, stairs, lighting, and other decorative or functional elements to complete the deck structure. Perform heavy lifting and material handling safely to transport lumber, rebar, and other building materials on-site. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and adhere to safety regulations. Conduct quality inspections throughout the build process to ensure structural integrity and adherence to client expectations. The ability to become the lead carpenter on deck building projects. Experience Minimum of 5 years experience in construction, deck building, and framing carpentry. Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and technical drawings related to deck construction. Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels), power tools (drills, saws), and fabrication equipment. Knowledge of construction site safety practices and ability to work safely with heavy machinery and materials. Familiarity with concrete forming, rebar installation, roofing basics, siding installation, and fixture mounting is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting comfortably while maintaining safety standards; experience with metal stud framing or masonry is advantageous. Requirements Minimum 5 years experience building wooden decks Fluent in both English and Spanish. Has the ability to become the lead on projects. The ability to work over-time requirement.
