We are currently seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter / Remodeling Finish Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for a highly skilled craftsman with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for producing clean, polished final work. Our projects include ADU garage conversions, kitchen and bathroom remodels, and a variety of residential improvement projects. Much of this role involves the finishing touches that bring a project to completion, including trim carpentry, painting, fixture installation, drywall patching, and punch-list work. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on construction experience , with strong finish carpentry skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional quality standards. Responsibilities Install baseboards, casing, crown molding, and other finish trim. Hang and adjust interior and exterior doors, including hardware installation. Install cabinets, shelving, and built-in components. Patch drywall and match existing textures. Perform interior and exterior painting, touch-up, and final finishing. Install plumbing and electrical fixtures such as faucets, light fixtures, mirrors, and accessories. Complete punch-list items and identify deficiencies that need correction. Ensure all work is clean, precise, and meets Caliber Contracting's quality standards. Maintain safe and organized job sites. Assist with other remodeling and construction tasks as needed. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in finish carpentry and residential remodeling. Strong skills in trim installation, painting, cabinet installation, and drywall repair. Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality finished work. Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field. Ability to read a tape measure accurately and use hand and power tools proficiently. General understanding of residential construction methods and building codes. Reliable transportation to job sites throughout San Diego County. Personal hand tools required; specialty tools provided as needed. Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and dependable attendance. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ADUs, kitchen remodels, and bathroom remodels. Familiarity with minor framing, electrical, or plumbing work. Ability to communicate effectively with homeowners and team members. Experience working from plans and detailed scopes of work.
