POSITION SUMMARY

The Jobsite Carpenter is a skilled field role responsible for supporting daily construction operations, performing hands-on construction tasks, and assisting field leadership in maintaining project progress, safety, and quality standards. This role works closely with the Superintendent and Field Engineer to help coordinate jobsite activities, support trade partner execution, resolve field issues, and ensure efficient project delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist with daily construction tasks under the direction of the Foreman or Assistant Superintendent
• Load, unload, move, and stage materials and equipment on the job site
• Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, assembling, or cleaning as needed
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment safely and effectively
• Follow instructions and support crew members in completing assigned tasks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
• Assist with temporary site protections, barricades, signage, and jobsite logistics
• Help prepare areas for inspections and ensure work is ready for approvals
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or material shortages to supervisors
• Perform other duties as assigned to support field operations and project success

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ year of commercial construction field experience required
• Experience using common hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment
• Ability to perform minor repairs, installations, and general field support tasks with minimal supervision
• Experience supporting Superintendents, Foremen, or field crews on active construction projects preferred
• Familiarity with construction site safety practices and OSHA standards
• Experience with temporary protections, barricades, site setup, punch list work, or jobsite logistics preferred
• Must have a clean driving record

EDUCATION

• High school Diploma or equivalent education preferred
• Technical or trade school preferred SKILLS
• Ability to follow instructions and complete general construction tasks safely and efficiently
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
• Ability to read and interpret plans preferred
• Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Willingness to learn construction methods and on-the-job skills
