McKinley Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a skilled craftsman with strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, and experience managing daily field operations on commercial construction projects. Responsibilities Lead and supervise carpenters and laborers on job sites. Read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings. Perform framing, finish carpentry, blocking, doors, hardware, and other carpentry tasks. Coordinate work with subcontractors, suppliers, and project management staff. Maintain project schedules and quality standards. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company policies. Assist with material takeoffs, ordering, and inventory management. Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices. Experience 5+ years of commercial construction carpentry experience. 2+ years of leadership or foreman experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety practices. Proficient with hand and power tools. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions • Preferred Skills Commercial tenant improvements and ground-up construction experience. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
Pay:
$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
