Our products are engineered for flawless functionality and a mature, impressive aesthetic. Every door is made to order by master carpenters at our Colorado Springs facility. Come be a part of a small manufacturing business making high-end, custom, oversized pivot doors. Pivot Door Company has been in business for over 12 years. As we grow we're looking for good-natured, energetic woodworkers to help us expand. The work environment is friendly and cooperative. Hours are 7am
  • 3:30pm Monday thru Friday, 40 hours a week.
We do not install or visit job sites; all work is done in our manufacturing warehouse. At Pivot Door Company, we don't just build doors; we craft premium-grade luxury architectural statements. "The PDC Way" is defined by an uncompromising commitment to finish quality, structural durability, and absolute order accuracy. The Shop Carpenter is the engine of Pivot Door Company. Regardless of specific station assignments, every Shop Carpenter is responsible for transforming raw materials into high-end architectural products through precision joinery, rigorous adherence to our SOPs, and a commitment to shop safety.
CURRENT AVAILABLE POSITIONS
We currently have 2 open positions for skilled Shop Carpenters. We are looking for experienced individuals who can work independently and efficiently, as well as highly versatile carpenters who can tackle advanced custom work.
General Responsibilities & Requirements:
Execute woodworking tasks independently. Demonstrate proficiency with standard woodworking tools and machinery. Exhibit strong attention to detail with the ability to read standard shop drawings, perform highly accurate measurements, and ensure perfect alignment on materials. Provide a flawless, premium finish on all products, ensuring clean joints, consistent aesthetics, and a first-time fit on hardware. Show versatility across various stages of the build process, which may include milling, assembly, joinery, final inspection, the installation of windows, trim, hardware, and inlays into custom pivot doors with a flawless, premium finish. Optimize workflows for speed and efficiency without ever sacrificing quality or safety. Maintain a proactive approach to identifying quality risks and a willingness to collaborate with and mentor team members. Core Requirements for
All Shop Carpenters:
Be comfortable and proficient with a wide variety of woodworking tools, techniques, and procedures. This includes safely operating machinery such as table saws, chop saws, pneumatic staplers, nail guns, drills, and drivers. High accuracy with a tape measure. Must pass the "Shop General Knowledge Test" (Tape measure to 1/16" and tool/material identification) within 30 days of hire.
Interested individuals should:
Be a semi-skilled individual with problem solving skills Have an eye for detail Have some experience with quality woodworking Take pride in their work, producing quality products in a timely manner Be a problem solver with a mind for detail, and quality. Must be able to lift/maneuver up to 75 lbs and participate in "team lifts" for oversized doors. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, or kneel for 8-10 hours in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
$18/hr
  • $23/hr starting pay depending on skill level, position, and production.
Paid time off can be earned, and some holidays are paid.
