American Lighting is growing rapidly, and we are seeking a full-time Trade Show Shop Finish Carpenter with experience in trade show, retail display, architectural millwork or cabinetry fabrication and installation. The Trade Show Shop Finish Carpenter reports to the Fabrication Manager and will work closely with marketing, sales, and engineering teams to build trade show and in-store displays to promote our innovative lighting products to a diverse audience.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet clearly defined project timelines and budgets for fabrication of trade show exhibits and in-store displays Fabricate high quality custom trade show exhibits and showroom wall mounted displays to the required specifications using a variety of materials Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and engineering teams during the design and fabrication process Understand and comprehend design and shop drawings Install low-voltage and line-voltage products on displays Travel with the team to help set up and break down trade show exhibits when needed Assist warehouse team when needed Other duties as requiredMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of finish carpentry expertise in exhibit fabrication, retail display, cabinetry, and/ or commercial millwork Skilled in finish carpentry techniques using saws, routers, pneumatic nail & staple guns, gluing and lamination, as well as various power and hand-held tools. Able to read & comprehend CAD shop drawings as well as adhere to quality building standards and specifications Quality/detail-oriented Able to keep a clean and organized workshop space Adheres to company safety guidelines Cheerful, confident, an initiative-taker, with an excellent work ethic and willing to learn Enjoy working in a challenging environment Effectively works as part of a team while interfacing with all levels of staff and clientele Occasional travel for off-site installations Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Able to pass a background check Able to lift items up to 50 pounds regularlyREQUIRED BEHAVIORAL CHARACTERISTICS
