Carpenter Job Description We are seeking a skilled carpenter with skills within the commercial carpentry industry. This role requires an experienced professional who can independently manage projects, identify and repair leaks in membrane roofs, and lead small teams effectively. Responsibilities Utilize 8-10 years of commercial carpentry experience to work on new builds. Independently find and repair leaks in commercial membrane flat roofs. Execute projects independently or lead a team of carpenters. Perform frame to finish carpentry work with precision. Use and maintain all necessary hand and power tools. Accurately measure and prepare materials for construction. Travel to various job sites as required. Comply with OSHA 10 or 30 standards. Essential Skills Commercial carpentry experience (8-10 years). Proficiency in framing and finish carpentry. Knowledge of construction techniques, including drywall and metal stud installation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Strong leadership and independent working capabilities. Experience with rough carpentry, cabinetry, trim work, and door installation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to teach carpentry skills to others on site. Capable of cleaning up after project completion. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work at various commercial job sites, utilizing a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Middletown, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
