Commercial Carpenter

Staffworks Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Carpenter to join our team. This role involves working on a variety of commercial construction and renovation projects, performing framing, installation, and finishing tasks with a high level of precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint-reading skills, experience with commercial materials and systems, and a solid understanding of job site safety.

Location:

New London CT Pay Rate:

$30-40hr. Based on experience MUST posses an OSHA 10 certification. MUST be able to pass a background check.

Key Responsibilities:

Frame and assemble steel stud walls according to project specifications. Hang, finish, and repair sheetrock/drywall. Install drop ceilings (acoustic ceiling systems). Assist with concrete pouring, forming, and finishing as needed. Install steel doors, frames, and associated hardware. Install PVC wall coverings, chair rails, and protective wall systems. Perform general maintenance and repair work in commercial environments. Use commercial-grade fasteners and anchoring systems appropriate for various substrates. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as a commercial carpenter or in a similar construction role. Strong ability to frame with steel studs and install drywall systems. Experience installing drop ceilings and commercial door systems. Knowledge of concrete work, including pouring and basic finishing. Familiarity with PVC wall systems, chair rails, and commercial interior finishes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents. Experience with commercial fasteners and anchoring methods. Experience with security locks and commercial locking systems (highly desirable). SWNE1
