Job Description
Whitford Building Company is looking for a skilled carpenter to join our residential remodeling team. We specialize in high-quality residential renovations, additions, exterior improvements, and custom carpentry work. We're looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, works efficiently, and can complete tasks with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Framing walls, ceilings, soffits, porches, and structural carpentry Installing doors, windows, trim, baseboard, casing, crown, shiplap, and finish details Building decks, stairs, railings, and exterior carpentry features Installing siding, soffit, fascia, and exterior trim repairs Drywall hanging and basic patch work as needed Reading plans, layouts, and measurements accurately Maintaining a clean and organized jobsite Communicating with project management regarding progress, issues, and material needs Helping keep projects moving efficiently and professionally Qualifications Residential carpentry experience required (remodeling experience strongly preferred) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Professional attitude when working in occupied homes Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Must provide your own hand tools and basic cordless tools Ability to lift materials, climb ladders, and work outdoors in Florida conditions Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Compensation $25-$35 per hour, based on experience and skill level Opportunity for steady work and growth with a company focused on quality residential remodeling.
