Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist skilled carpenters in completing residential, commercial, and restoration projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Prior construction site experience is preferred but not required; a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential. This role provides valuable exposure to multiple facets of the construction industry, including framing, trim work, roofing, and more. Duties Assist with framing, trim carpentry, and other carpentry tasks using hand tools and power tools Support installation of fixtures, doors, siding, cabinetry, and flooring Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to aid in project execution Help with concrete forming, rebar installation, plastering, and masonry work as needed Perform heavy lifting and material handling on-site Prepare work areas by cleaning and organizing tools and materials Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment Assist with restoration projects including water damage remediation, mold removal, and general repairs Support fabrication tasks such as metal stud framing or custom fixture assembly Contribute to roofing, siding, drywall installation, caulking, stucco application, and electrical or plumbing rough-ins as required Qualifications Prior construction site experience or hands-on trade exposure preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques Ability to read blueprints or schematics is a plus Experience with framing (wood or metal), drywall installation, or remodeling projects is advantageous Capable of heavy lifting and working on ladders or scaffolding safely Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills in carpentry and construction trades Basic understanding of safety procedures on job sites Reliable transportation and ability to commute to various job sites as needed This Carpenter Helper position is an excellent entry point into the construction industry for individuals eager to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.
