Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. A Concrete Form Carpenter is a skilled carpenter who builds, sets, braces, and removes the forms used to shape poured concrete. Typical duties include reading plans and measurements; building wood or metal forms for walls, slabs, footings, columns, and foundations; setting forms to grade and elevation; installing stakes, braces, ties, and hardware; checking forms for square, level, and plumb; assisting with concrete placement; and stripping/cleaning forms after the concrete cures.
