Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Measure, cut, shape, and prepare wood and related materials for custom architectural millwork. Assemble, fit, and install wooden structures and components, including cabinets, doors, frames, trims, panels, and decorative elements. Read and interpret basic blueprints, sketches, and work orders to understand project requirements. Operate standard carpentry tools and equipmentsuch as saws, drills, sanders, planers, and joinery toolswhile following company safety procedures. Install hardware, including hinges, handles, drawer slides, and other fixtures needed for millwork completion. Perform repairs, adjustments, and finishing work to ensure proper fit, alignment, and appearance of wood components. Prepare work surfaces through sanding, leveling, and fitting materials before installation. Select appropriate materials and supplies according to company standards and project specifications. Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized condition. Collaborate with supervisors, subcontractors, and team members to complete tasks on schedule and meet quality expectations. Work is performed at the customers' premises and does not require travel outside of the MSA.
