Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in set building, cabinet making, furniture construction, scenic fabrication, or related carpentry/fabrication fields. We are a custom fabrication shop specializing in: Set construction Newsroom fabrication Live events Corporate staging Prop and scenic design For 48 years, Propmasters has remained a staple within the industry by continuing to evolve, adapt, and deliver high-quality work to our clients. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks. Construct, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, and flooring using hand tools and power tools. Perform trim carpentry including fixture installation, some cabinetry, and molding work with precision. Measure materials accurately for fabrication and assembly; utilize CNC machinery when applicable. Assist with heavy lifting(35 lbs minimum unrestricted) and material handling while maintaining safety protocols on-site. Read construction plans involving metal stud framing, electrical schematics, plumbing layouts, and schematics for efficient project execution. Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects and manufacturing tasks requiring woodworking or metal fabrication skills. Construct custom scenic elements, cabinetry, props, and staging components. Requirements Proven experience as a skilled carpenter with a strong background in construction site work. Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., saws, hammers), Table Saws, Chop Saws, Drill Press, and additional power tools safely and effectively. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus; familiarity with heavy lifting techniques is essential. Experience with various carpentry specialties including trim carpentry, framing, and cabinetry. Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including heavy lifting(35lb minimum) and working at heights; excellent attention to detail required. Ability to travel and work out of state as required for project completion for extended periods of time. Valid driver's license; relevant certifications such as OSHA training or specialized trade licenses are advantageous.
