A construction company in the St. Augustine, FL 32092 area is seeking experienced Construction Framers / Carpenters for a short-term project expected to last approximately 1-2 weeks . The Framer will be responsible for constructing and installing structural framework according to blueprints, specifications, and established construction standards. Qualified candidates should have hands-on framing experience, be comfortable working with power and hand tools, and be able to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor construction environment. Responsibilities Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other framing materials. Construct walls, floors, ceilings, roof systems, and other structural components. Install wall studs, floor joists, roof trusses, rafters, headers, and sheathing. Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, measurements, and specifications. Measure and mark materials accurately using tape measures, squares, levels, and other tools. Operate power tools including circular saws, nail guns, drills, impact drivers, and reciprocating saws. Ensure framing is square, level, plumb, and properly secured. Assist with layout and preparation of construction work areas. Install blocking, bracing, and structural supports as required. Work closely with supervisors, carpenters, and other construction crew members. Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and organized work area. Load, unload, carry, and stage lumber and construction materials. Perform other construction-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous construction framing or carpentry experience preferred . Knowledge of residential and/or commercial wood framing techniques. Ability to accurately use a tape measure and perform basic construction math. Experience using hand and power tools commonly used in framing. Ability to read blueprints or construction drawings is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a construction crew. Strong attention to detail and workmanship. Reliable transportation to the jobsite in the 32092 area . Dependable attendance and ability to report to work on time. Must be available for the full 1-2 week project duration . Must be able to work safely in an active construction environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry approximately 50-75 pounds . Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and stoop throughout the workday. Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work areas when required. Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions, including heat and humidity. Ability to perform repetitive lifting and physical construction activities.
