In this pivotal role, you will oversee framing operations on various projects, ensuring that all structures are built safely, efficiently, and to exact specifications. As a Lead Framer, you will coordinate with project managers, manage a team of skilled carpenters and laborers, and uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship. Your expertise in metal building erection, concrete forming, and framing techniques will drive project success from start to finish. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex framing tasks while mentoring junior team members and maintaining a focus on safety and quality. Responsibilities Lead and supervise framing crews in the installation of metal building frameworks, wood and steel studs, drywall, and other structural components. Interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of framing projects. Oversee the installation of rebar, concrete forms, siding, roofing, and plastering to meet project specifications. Operate power tools, heavy equipment, and hand tools safely and efficiently to complete framing tasks. Ensure proper use of measuring tools such as tape measures and perform dimensional measurements for precise construction outcomes. Coordinate with project managers to schedule work sequences, manage materials like metal studs and lumber, and meet project deadlines. Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting site inspections, and promoting best practices in heavy lifting and equipment operation. Skills Extensive experience in metal building erection, concrete forming, masonry, drywall installation, stucco application, siding, roofing, and restoration projects. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, construction plans, and technical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools such as tape measures and power tools used in framing and carpentry tasks. Skilled in rebar installation, drywall finishing, trim carpentry, woodwork, plastering techniques, and dimensional measurements. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely while managing construction site logistics effectively. Excellent construction management skills with experience overseeing multiple trades including welding and remodeling projects. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations essential for precise framing work.
