Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Rough Carpenter specializing in Playground Construction to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing durable, safe, and engaging playground structures by interpreting blueprints, utilizing various carpentry techniques, and working efficiently on construction sites. Your expertise will help bring vibrant outdoor spaces to life, ensuring safety standards are met while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to community development projects and showcase your carpentry talents in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings specific to playground structures and related features. Frame, assemble, and install wood and metal components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Perform concrete forming and rebar installation to create stable foundations for playground equipment. Execute precise carpentry tasks such as siding, door hanging, fixture installation, cabinetry, and roofing as needed for structural integrity. Apply finishing techniques including caulking, painting, plastering, stucco work, and flooring installation to ensure polished results. Conduct heavy lifting safely while managing materials for assembly or restoration projects on construction sites. Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols, schematics accuracy, and project timelines. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, or related fields within the construction or restoration industry. Hands-on experience working on construction sites with knowledge of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation. Familiarity with woodworking, metal stud framing, concrete forming, rebar installation, roofing, siding, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing, masonry, and remodeling projects. Prior involvement in manufacturing or fabrication environments is a plus. Knowledge of restoration processes including water damage remediation and mold remediation is advantageous. Strong physical ability for heavy lifting and working at heights or in outdoor conditions. Valid experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery (if applicable), and other construction equipment. Join us in building safe and innovative playgrounds that inspire communities!
