Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Manager - Carpenter and Paint Shop position requires a candidate with extensive knowledge and experience in carpentry and painting. The role involves leading a department of employees, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the carpentry and paint shops.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and assist in maintenance operations for both exterior and interior facilities, ensuring the property is maintained in optimal condition. Oversee the carpenter shop, managing the workflow and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently. Manage the paint shop staff, overseeing daily operations and scheduling work to minimize disruption to guests and employees. Plan, implement, and administer an effective maintenance program following best engineering practices. Provide leadership to ensure team members present themselves professionally and maintain positive interactions with hotel guests and employees.
Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge and experience in carpentry and painting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to organize and plan department activities. Prior experience in supervising maintenance operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in carpentry or painting. Previous experience in a similar managerial role. Knowledge of safety regulations related to carpentry and painting.
