killed Rough Carpenter (Framing Carpenter) to join our team for both residential and commercial construction projects. You will build structural frameworks, including walls, floors, and roof systems. This role requires heavy physical labor, blueprint reading, and precise assembly of structural skeletons.
Key Responsibilities Blueprint Reading:
Interpret structural blueprints and building codes for precise site layouts.
Structural Framing:
Erect wood or light-gauge steel wall frames, partitions, and floor joists.
Roof & Truss Installation:
Layout, hoist, and secure heavy roof trusses and rafters.
Sheathing Application:
Install plywood or OSB sheets on exterior walls and roof decks.
Formwork Construction:
Build temporary wooden concrete forms for foundations and footings.
Scaffolding Setup:
Assemble stable work platforms, ladders, and scaffolding safely.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:
Minimum 5+years of rough carpentry or framing experience.
Material Knowledge:
Experience working with both wood and commercial light-gauge steel studs.
Physical Strength:
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.
Tool Proficiency:
Mastery of nail guns, circular saws, framing squares, and levels.
Math Competency:
Quick, accurate calculation of angles, spans, and material cuts.
Safety Mindset:
Strict adherence to OSHA standards, including fall protection guidelines. Working Conditions Work is primarily outdoors in variable weather conditions. Frequent travel between residential developments and commercial jobsites may be required.
