Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of concrete-related tasks on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your expertise in formwork, pouring, finishing, and interpreting technical drawings will be vital to delivering durable and precise concrete structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to renovations and restorations, contributing your craftsmanship to impactful construction endeavors. Duties Construct and install formwork using carpentry skills to shape concrete structures according to blueprints and schematics Operate concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently during pouring and finishing processes Install rebar and metal studs as reinforcement within concrete forms to ensure structural integrity Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and schematics for accurate execution of tasks Perform concrete cutting, finishing, sealing (caulking), and plastering to achieve smooth surfaces and desired textures Handle heavy lifting and material transportation while adhering to safety protocols at all times Conduct restoration work including stucco, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, and masonry as needed for project completion Qualifications Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete work and carpentry techniques Strong mechanical knowledge related to concrete mixing equipment, power tools, heavy machinery operation, and hand tools Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately Knowledge of construction estimating procedures and safety regulations specific to construction workplaces Skilled in rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete pouring, finishing techniques, and concrete cutting Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols Experience with renovation projects involving plastering, stucco application, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying or masonry is a plus Valid driver's license for commercial driving if required for site access or material transport
