Residential Construction Subcontractor / Lead Carpenter (1099) Sunroom Escapes Clive, IA Job Details Contract $1,500 a week 15 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Residential construction Remodeling Attention to detail Outdoor structure carpentry Woodworking Full Job Description We are seeking an experienced, independent, and quality-driven Subcontrcator / Carpenter with a strong background in residential construction to join our team. In this role, you will work on a steady stream of residential projects ranging from custom pergolas to complete sunroom installations.
Crew Structure:
You will not be stranded on a site alone. Every project is staffed efficiently. You will work side-by-side with one experienced Lead Carpenter , and depending on the scope and size of the build, an additional helper will be provided to keep production moving safely and quickly.
Project Rates & Payout Breakdown:
We pay competitive per-project piece-rates. You know exactly what you are making before you step onto the job site:
Pergola or Patio Cover Installs:
$600•$1,200 per project (Typical timeline: 1-2 days)
Wall System Installs:
$800•$1,500 per project (Typical timeline: 1-2 days)
Deck Builds:
$1,000•$8,000 per project (Typical timeline: 1-5 days)
Full Sunroom Installs:
$4,000•$10,000 per project (Typical timeline: 1-2 weeks)
Expected Volume:
Consistent workflow of 1 to 2 jobs per single week.
Requirements:
Proven, hands-on experience in residential construction (framing, exterior remodeling, finish carpentry, or deck building). Must operate as an independent subcontractor (1099) with your own active liability insurance/business structure. Must possess your own reliable truck/transportation and standard construction hand/power tools. Strong work ethic, reliability, and precision attention to detail.
